I have realized that there has been so much that has happened in the two weeks it took me to complete the 6 posts for China. And I have yet to share any of it with you!
After the trip to China it was time for us to 1.) Start weaning Ollie on to formula and 2.) Introduce him to solids. Ollie has been showing all the signs of being ready to dive into the world of food but we held off in anticipation of our trip. Well, he was a champ as we started introducing fruit and veg to him. We began with sweet potatoes. He wasn't sure at first but quickly gobbled up 2 ounces with the second attempt (the 1st attempt ended up being fun sensory play-see below). Then we gave carrots a go and he is a big fan of those! So far we have also tried apples, pears and peas.

Sweet potatoes feel kind of neat. |

Not so sure about the taste though... |

Piccadilly likes sweet potatoes! |

Yum! Carrots! Now we're talking. |
In addition to eating, Ollie is now the proud new owner of a red sports car. Grandpa O was up for a leadership meeting and stopped by to visit. Of course we went shopping (intending to get a new grill-that's a whole other drama) and ended up with a fabulous new toy for Ollie!

'How handsome do I look!?!' |

Thanks Grandpa O! |
And finally, Ollie is working on pulling himself up into a stand. Still no crawling, just a whole lot of rolling. He loves to pull himself up using your hands as support. We decided it was time to drop the crib down, just in case. And good thing we did. Because when we set him in the crib to test out the new height, he pulled himself right up without assistance from us! I think this means baby proofing for the rest of the home needs to happen ASAP!

That was easy. |

Look at me! |
