Time Flies

When you're having fun!  And we have been having a ton of fun over the past month.  So much that it has been an entire month since I have even uploaded pictures off our camera on to the computer.  So here is a quick catch up.  Because in true Crowley fashion we are hitting the road again for another fabulous trip of fun, today!

Each of these events really deserves a post of it's own. But this quick recap in pictures will have to do!

We are a squirm worm during bath time now.

The first weekend of May me and 3 of my best friends went to Key West.
We were celebrating the upcoming nuptials of Tiffany and Brian!

Christine, Tiffany and April outside the most delicious breakfast place.

At the southern most point of CONUS!

You cant's skip the key lime pie!  Especially when it is frozen and on a stick!

Me and the bride to be!

One of Ollie's new favorite faces...the scrunch!

Reading with Grandma Noanie!
Thanks to Noanie for helping Ryan while Mommy was out to play.

These two are too much.
Piccadilly stills keeps very close to Ollie and he loves it.

So cute.

The college graduate, Jeremy and his family.
Ryan's cousin Jeremy graduated from Millersville University this month!

The Putnam clan.

Great opportunity for some jump shots!

Graduated!

Home for Mother's Day!

Ryan put together a book of photos of Ollie!
It's a gorgeous book.

We played outside while we grilled Mother's Day dinner!

I can't get over these 2!

305 reunion! It's hard to believe we all have children now!

Gianna and Ollie!

The 305 boys!

The 2 youngest 305 boys.

Life Doesn't Stop While Blogging

I have realized that there has been so much that has happened in the two weeks it took me to complete the 6 posts for China.  And I have yet to share any of it with you!

After the trip to China it was time for us to 1.) Start weaning Ollie on to formula and 2.) Introduce him to solids.  Ollie has been showing all the signs of being ready to dive into the world of food but we held off in anticipation of our trip.  Well, he was a champ as we started introducing fruit and veg to him.  We began with sweet potatoes.  He wasn't sure at first but quickly gobbled up 2 ounces with the second attempt (the 1st attempt ended up being fun sensory play-see below).  Then we gave carrots a go and he is a big fan of those! So far we have also tried apples, pears and peas.

Sweet potatoes feel kind of neat.

Not so sure about the taste though...

Piccadilly likes sweet potatoes!

Yum!  Carrots!  Now we're talking.

In addition to eating, Ollie is now the proud new owner of a red sports car.  Grandpa O was up for a leadership meeting and stopped by to visit.  Of course we went shopping (intending to get a new grill-that's a whole other drama) and ended up with a fabulous new toy for Ollie!

'How handsome do I look!?!'

Thanks Grandpa O!

And finally, Ollie is working on pulling himself up into a stand.  Still no crawling, just a whole lot of rolling.  He loves to pull himself up using your hands as support.  We decided it was time to drop the crib down, just in case.  And good thing we did.  Because when we set him in the crib to test out the new height, he pulled himself right up without assistance from us!  I think this means baby proofing for the rest of the home needs to happen ASAP!

That was easy.

Look at me!

Asia Adventures, Installment 6: BONUS!

Trust me, this bonus post is well worth it!  Ever since we lived in England I have had issue with pictures.  Particularly the 'wish you were here' photos I themed one of the AA installments on.  My issue is it begins to look like you actually just purchased high quality portrait studio backgrounds and put the same group/couple shot in front of it.  Your smile looks the same, you are typically standing in the same position among the group/couple, you even tilt your head ever so slightly in the same direction...in all of the pictures no matter where you are.

One solution is of course to try for the 'action' shot.  But then you end up with a bunch of pictures of your family and friends standing in a semi circle either reading or listening to information about the sight.  Or the classic walking picture; which how many rear end shots can we handle?

The solution I have been enjoying is the posed action shots.  Finding a way to mimic what your looking at and make yourself a part of the sight.  For China, the action pose became jumping.  This was fun (in my opinion) for many different reasons.  1.) People laughed with us.  We knew we looked ridiculous and the tourist just confirmed it for us. 2.) It gave us something to use our creativity.  Finding the ideal (flat) location and deciding on the perfect mid jump pose was integral to a successful jump shot. 3.) I can now do this bonus post of just jump shots.  And the list could go on, but I'm sure I don't need to convince you.  You are already planning to use this technique for your next family vacation.

Before I show the goods, I should admit that these were actually physically challenging.  Some of us walked away with aching knees and pulled hamstrings.  So we recommend stretching before you attempt this on your own.

This was our first attempt.
Don't worry we get better at it.
See better.

The prep squat.

ACTION!

Trying to be the Buddha.

Outside Brian and Kristen's Apartment.

That's where they live!

Can you see us in this crazy maze?

We had high hopes for this one.
But none of the attempts really quite worked.

Boiling egg/Pearl shot.

I missed '3' apparently.

One of our favorites.
2 of the 5 gates to the Forbidden City behind us
and we are doing the '5' point star jump.
Get it???

Another favorite!
On the Great Wall.

yay!

High 5.

This one took a few takes to get.

Dad's turn

Mom and Dad in front of the '70 year door'.
They are showing us how many more years until they will be old enough to use that door.

No one else in the group wanted to join me on this one.
I beat the warrior.
